I'm not a huge fan of DareDevil, but I'm glad to see that Netflix has landed something from Marvel. That's a huge acquisition for the streaming service, though, and I'm sure that the show is going to be critically acclaimed. I might check out the first episode, but we'll see.

It's too soon to tell. If daredevil does well then there definitely could be more marvel content for sure, although I'm wondering why it's on netflix and not ABC like Agents of Shield and Agent carter

It sounds like from the article ABC is not forced to abandon its business practices for other Disney divisions. As such, since Marvel wanted to have a commitment to all five series without a required pilot episode, it knocked ABC out of the mix. Of course, by it being on Netflix and not on ABC, it will allow Marvel to push the boundaries a bit if necessary.
