Copa America finals were yet another example of Sling TV not being ready for prime time. People flocked to Sling TV to see the event as Sling has been advertising it hard everywhere.

Guess what happened? Anyone care to guess?

Ahhhh..you played this game before didn't you?

Yes yes.......the stream was interrupted and most people missed a sizable chunk of the event while staring at the infamous gold spinning circle that Sling TV users have come to see so often that it feels like it has its own channel.

Sling TV did eventually put a fix in place, and they did acknowledge the problems.

If you read the social media out there today, people are getting tired of it.

I am not even a soccer fan, but I can fully understand the frustration people have over this fiasco.

It is very obvious that even a flawed Roku app by Vue will be enough to soon shut down Sling TV unless they make major changes.

Question: If you are a Sling TV customer and call to complain when such an occurrence takes place, do they take any steps to make you (the customer) happy?

They TRY to help to a point. They are always VERY friendly whether via the Facebook page or on the phone, but they really aren't all that knowledgeable.

They have a set series of things they respond to every issue with, and if that doesn't fix it they just tell you to turn the quality all the way down on the stream, or that they will escalate your ticket. But no one will get back to you.

Odd issues too, like their weather channel cuts off the scrolling weather bar at the bottom, and major issues like the freez-ups

Do they compensate you in any way if you tried to watch something (ex: live sports) at the stream is not working (i.e. not getting what you paid for)?
