More devices = more remotes

    How do you handle having a remote control for each entertainment device that you purchase? There are ones for:

    • Television
    • Blu-ray / DVD player
    • VHS player :blink:
    • Soundbar / surround sound system
    • Cable box
    • Roku / other cordless box
    • The hi-fi

    What is the best way to handle this?

    I've got 3 for two of my TV's and 2 for one of them. Each has a TV remote and a Roku remote, 2 of them have a DVD remote. I eventually plan to purchase a sound bar for one of them.

    If any of your devices are wifi enabled, check to see if there are any remote apps available for your smartphone. I have one for the Roku and another for our 2nd blu ray player on my Android phone. It's great.

    Since my DVD player broke down I just have two remotes (well, three, I have one for the kids, pretty neat actually), for the TV and the box. I'm using an external drive so I can control it with the tv remote.
