I thought this was a pretty interesting article as we definitely are seeing less movies in theaters. Generally speaking, we wait for it to arrive at the library, or we watch it once the movie hits a streaming service. Further, we do not rent movies anymore.

How about yourself? Have you changed how often you see a movie in a theater, or even rent / purchase it?

If I want the theater EXPERIENCE, I'll go to a theater (maybe once or twice a year). In most cases, I'll watch movies I want to see via iTunes or wait for them to hit HBO or Showtime.

Has this changed since cutting the cord?

No. It's been that way for a long time. In fact, I probably used Directv's PerPerView as much or more than iTunes before I cut the cord - especially before I upgraded from DSL to Uverse. DTV PPV delivered the content over the dish and wasn't dependent on internet speed.
